Gustave Eiffel, one of the world’s most famous architects, was born 183 years ago. He had a significant influence in the shaping of today’s cities. Some of his most notable contributions, to name but a few, include the Eiffel Tower in Paris, The Statue of Liberty in New York, the Maria Pia Bridge in Oporto, and the Garabit viaduct in Truyère.
